Vishak Kumar – The super CEO!

Today, life is fast paced and things are changing at lightning speed. Constant change, innovation, learning and unlearning is happening every single day. This is why it takes a lot to be able to survive competition in this day and age, making it a huge challenge for the people who run big companies to keep up with the competition. In fact, it is due to this very reason why Chief Executive Officers of today need to be extremely centred, focused and dynamic, all at the same time.

The Chief Executive Officers of today need to have their best foot forward at any given point. It also means that they have to be ahead of the times and have to be able to engage in many things at the same time. They must be open to learning from their past mistakes and should know that it’s okay to make mistakes, instead of being sore losers. CEOs should also have the best communication skills because a team needs constant pushing and motivation, which cannot happen if there is any kind of miscommunication.
CEOs also have to have the best means and methods of networking and building impressionable and long lasting relationships, which helps the business grow in leaps and bounds. They also have to be realistic about the decisions they take and not live in a dreamy world of optimism with regards to any business decisions undertaken by them. This is why one of the main qualities of a CEO is to be able to take calculated risks which are not detrimental to the growth of the company.

The aforementioned reasons were why Mr. Vishak Kumar was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, which is a business unit of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. Earlier, Mr Vishak Kumar was the CEO of the Hypermarket & Supermarket chains of Aditya Birla Retail Ltd. He studied at BIT Ranchi, went to IIM Bangalore and started off as a management trainee in the year 1995. Post this, he became the COO of Louis Philippe at Madura Fashion and Lifestyle and has today reached his current position because of his hard work, commitment and enthusiasm.

This is why Mr. Vishak Kumar is an inspiration for many.
